senior care facility and assisted living, farm machinery sales, construction,
auto dealers, trailer manufacturing, grocery store, banking, hardware stores,
retail stores, pharmacies, and a weekly newspaper.


Events and Attractions: Annual events include the Gospel Sing, Harrison
County Fair, National Old-Time Country & Bluegrass Contest and Festival,
and the Hospital Bazaar and Luncheon. Attractions include: The Harrison County
Historical Village and Iowa Welcome Center, Missouri Valley Antique Mall,
Missouri Valley Gifts and Crafts Mall, Rialto Theatre, U.S. Post Office Mural,
Wisecup Farm Museum, and the Lincoln Highway..

Transportation: Missouri Valley is located along State Highway 30 and Hwy 183, is less than 1 mile from I-29, and is 2.5 miles from I-80.
Recreation: Missouri Valley has 2 city parks, one with camper hook-ups. It is also used as the Harrison Co. Fairgrounds. There is also a public swimming pool and Missouri Valley also shares a golf course with Logan. Desoto Bend Wildlife Refuge and Wilson Island Recreation Area are within a 10 minute drive from town.
Other: Missouri Valley has a chamber of commerce that organizes many community events throughout the year. Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital is also located in Missouri Valley and is a Trauma Care Facility - Level 4.
