Harrison County Development Corporation (HCDC) has been helping communities and businesses in Harrison County since 1967. We are the oldest county–wide economic development organization in the state. Our goal is to promote, improve, and aid Economic, Industrial, Recreational, and Tourism opportunities for Harrison County. We work closely with our local communities and elected officials as well as regional and state partners to achieve this mission. Our partners in this goal include our ten communities, Harrison County, utility suppliers, the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED), Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) and the Greater Council Bluffs Regional Economic Development Partnership (GBRED). By working with all of these organizations, we are able to better serve you. This makes Harrison County Development Corporation a leader when it comes to business expansions, new start ups, and investment opportunities. We also strive to improve the quality of life for all Harrison County's citizens and make your stay in our area as enjoyable as possible.
